My State Department posting in Vietnam was in Can Tho where as elsewhere the old Corps area HQ became a Consulate General, so the Mekong book will be of interest.
That’s why I love old used book stores where those books you didn’t know about often wash up. The newer books are easier to spot these days thanks to places like this on the net and my Goodreads friends.
Riverby’s is a favorite but we have to limit our visits to control the number of books coming into the house. I’m filling a box up now of books to offer them and will go again when it’s full! We often basically swap books with them, with some “small change” thrown in for them. Excellent shop.

Great! It's easy to find a book you're looking for. It's not so easy to find a book you didn't know existed.

If I recall, you are in the DC area. This is a used book store I love in Fredericksburg on Caroline Street: Riverby Books - https://g.co/kgs/GVquumW
Go up the hill to get a good coffee at Hyperion first: https://g.co/kgs/uV6ejm4
